As I look up at Hume Castle, I sense a connection to the land and to this place, and I can feel the presence of my ancestors here.
The ancient and the modern come together quite nicely in this image. With Edinburgh Castle on the horizon, and the train stations in the foreground, I find the juxtaposition striking.
The late night sun in Oban, Scotland, having just now dipped below the clouds, created but a moment of amazing light that had been absent during the dreary day.
